On a roll: Moses hits perfection, again



Daryl Moses had quite a month.
Moses rolled 290-825 in G.E. Mixed at Wedgewood on Dec. 11, then came through with a 300 during Swan's Mixed action at Wedgewood on Dec. 23.
Three days later, Moses repeated a perfect game in Charlie's Service/R.J. Trucking at Holiday on the 26th.
Moses' sets were 799 in Swan's and 794 in Charlie's/R.J.
G.E. Mixed's second-highest series on the 11th was Teri Haefke's 760.
Bob Smolko's 802 series was 107 pins higher than the next-best score in C & amp; G Pro Shop at West Side on Dec. 19, when Smolko produced a 300 game.
Jennifer Smolko had 299-300-201 -- 800 before adding 223 for 1,023 in Wedgewood Ladies Trio on Dec. 19. Erin Fairchild's 754 was the second-highest three-game series.
Julie Tufaro had 300 in Lucky Ladies on Nov. 30 and Jeff Tancabel had 300-794 in Variety Mixed at Holiday.
Also, Jesse Hodge's 300 paced Holiday's Shooting Gallery recently.
Former Fitch High standout Brianna Ozias had 714 to lead Woodchoppers Friday Mixed at Wedgewood on Dec. 8. Her top game was 268.
Lane Brains of Beverly Beam, Jim Beam, Brenda Holt and Ron Holt won Mixed Bankers' second quarter at Holiday.
Francis Pro Shop (Kelley Div.) and Michael's Bar & amp; Grille (Robb Div.) won Kelley-Robb Funeral Home Classic's second quarter at Bell-Wick.
Rich's Massotherapy of Norm Phillips, Terrance Dill, Ray Barnett, Tony Brown and Rich Pilla won F.D. Mason Classic's second quarter at Camelot.
Chargers of Virginia Buzzelli, Gail McCombs, Dot Wilson and Mae McElwain won Try Hards' first half at Wedgewood where the Bad Apples finished first for the half in School Belles.
City tournament
YOUNGSTOWN -- The Greater Youngstown Bowling Association is accepting entries for its 75th annual city bowling tournament, which runs Jan. 19-28.
The team championships will again include two divisions: upper (1,000 average and higher) and lower (999 average and below). The ranges for the doubles event are 400-up and 399-under, while singles and all-events are divided into 200-up and 199-under.
Entry fee is 17 per event per bowler with all-events 2 optional.
Forms may be obtained at all area centers or by calling the GYBA at 758-8367.
Entries close Jan. 12.
