Fashion show planned as a prelude to a ball

Fundraiser will feature an outstanding collection of gowns, furs and jewelry.
YOUNGSTOWN -- The Eleanor Beecher Flad Pavilion at the DeYor Performing Arts Center on West Federal Street will be the setting Jan. 24 for a fashion show and luncheon that will serve as a prelude to the Youngstown Symphony Ball to be held March 10 in the Edward W. Powers Auditorium at the center.
"The Symphony of Gowns" fashion show will begin with a champagne punch reception at 10 a.m. and will include viewing of articles for a Chinese auction. Lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m. and will be followed by the fashion show at the Ford Family Recital Hall.
Bridal and formal wear, a variety of furs and pieces of fine jewelry will be modeled during the style show.
Tickets for the event are 35 per person. Grand patron tickets are 100, and patron seating is available for 50 per person.
All proceeds from "The Symphony of Gowns" will benefit the Youngstown Symphony Orchestra and the Youngstown Symphony Society educational programs.
Guests are encouraged to enter the pavilion via the Chestnut Street entrance where valet parking will be available.
