Nursing class placement tests set

WARREN -- The Trumbull County Career & amp; Technical Center School of Practical Nursing has announced testing for placement in both its adult and high school practical nursing classes.
Two different courses are offered for adult students, the 11-month day class, which begins in August 2007, and the two-year evening program, which will start in January 2008.
Prospective students for either program must first pass a pre-entrance test, which will be given from 8:15 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. Jan. 11 at the center at 1776 Salt Springs Road. Those taking the test must also attend a 90-minute orientation session that same day.
A two-year tech prep program for high school juniors and seniors is also offered at the center and requires passage of a pre-entrance test that will be given Feb. 1.
A course to train nurse assistants will begin Jan. 22 at the center's Adult Training Center in Champion.
It will be held three days a week for four weeks.
There is a 475 class tuition fee and an additional charge of 96 payable to the state testing agency for the nursing assistant exam. Some tuition assistance is available for this program.
