NEW YEAR'S EVE TV SHOWS



Time to watch as the illuminated ball atop New York's Times Square drops to signal a shiny new year. Among those celebrating 2007's arrival:
"New Year Sing-along Bowl-a-thon" (7 p.m. on Disney Channel): Miley Cyrus, Cole and Dylan Sprouse, Ashley Tisdale and others host this countdown of viewers' favorite songs and episodes of Disney Channel programs.
"Live from Lincoln Center" (on PBS): Tony winner Audra McDonald and the New York Philharmonic present Broadway melodies.
"Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve" (10 p.m. on ABC): Clark and Ryan Seacrest are live from Times Square with holiday specials that break for the 11 p.m. news, then continue till 2:05 a.m. Performers include Christina Aguilera.
"Great Performances" (on PBS): Garrison Keillor hosts from Nashville with regulars from "A Prairie Home Companion." Emmylou Harris, Jerry Douglas and legends of bluegrass and country will perform.
"New Year's Eve Special" (11 p.m. on Fox): Cat Deeley ("So You Think You Can Dance") welcomes 2007 from Times Square, where Toni Braxton performs.
"MTV Goes Gold: New Year's Eve 2007" (11 p.m. on MTV): Gwen Stefani, Pussycat Dolls and Nas are scheduled to perform.
"New Year's Eve With Carson Daly" (11:30 p.m. on NBC): Also in Times Square and simulcast on Bravo, MSNBC and NBC.com, the late-late-night talk show host will showcase musical group Panic! At the Disco.
