Family theater seriescoming to Packard
WARREN -- A series of three live family shows titled "Rated G for Great!" is coming to Packard Music Hall.
The shows are staged by national touring companies, and each one is designed to introduce young people to live theater. The series is sponsored by the Fine Arts Council of Trumbull County, in partnership with Trumbull 100.
First up is "Cinderella," presented by Enchantment Theatre, which will be staged at 7 p.m. Jan. 22. "Cinderella" puts a spin on the classic fairy tale by adding illusions, life-size puppets and masked performers.
Next is "Newton's Revenge," presented by Mad Science, at 7 p.m. March 21. The show explores the zany side of science. Mad scientists, with a little help from Sir Isaac Newton, perform wacky experiments to investigate the principles of inertia, acceleration and actions and reactions.
The final show is "Willy Wonka," presented by the Kennedy Center Imagination Celebration on Tour at 7 p.m. April 7.
Tickets for all three shows are 30 for youths and 40 for adults. Tickets can also be purchased for individual shows for 15 for youths and 22 for adults.
