LOS ANGELES -- Top-ranked UCLA's performance against highly regarded Michigan was so dominant, it left Bruins coach Ben Howland full of superlatives.
Fact is, he couldn't have found anything negative even if he tried.
Josh Shipp scored 18 points, Arron Afflalo added 17, and UCLA overpowered the previously once-beaten Wolverines 92-55 on Saturday.
"We just played our best game," Howland said. "Our guys were fired up for this game. Michigan played us extremely tough the last three years."
Michigan beat UCLA 70-66 in December 2003, but the Bruins topped the Wolverines 81-79 two years ago and 68-61 last season.
"The game was pretty close last year," Afflalo said. "Coming into this game, that was expected."
The Bruins made sure it wasn't.
"I think we were really good today. I think we could have beaten most teams in the country," Howland said. "I love the unselfishness of our team. Our quickness was really evident. These guys are just tremendous -- it's a lot of fun to be coaching them."
Darren Collison added 15 points and eight assists and Luc Richard Mbah a Moute had 13 points and a career-high seven steals for the Bruins (11-0), who were in command from the opening tip.
Courtney Sims led Michigan with 13 points, but 11 came after the outcome was decided. Lester Abram added 11 points for Michigan, which lost by 37 despite shooting 46 percent (23-of-50).
No. 10 Alabama 99, Coppin St. 49
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- Alonzo Gee was 12-for-14 from the field for a career-high 26 points and had nine rebounds to lead Alabama.
The Crimson Tide (11-1) used an 11-0 run to take a 16-8 lead in the game's opening eight minutes. Coppin State (2-9) scored five straight points to get within three points, but Alabama broke the game open with a 33-12 run and led 55-30 at halftime.
Tywain McKee led Coppin State with 12 points.
No. 11 Kansas 84, Boston College 66
LAWRENCE, Kan. -- Mario Chalmers and Brandon Rush triggered a 24-4 run in the first half and Kansas raced past Boston College despite an outstanding effort by the Eagles' Sean Williams.
The 6-foot-10 Williams, the NCAA leader in blocked shots, had 19 points and 15 rebounds -- both career highs -- to go with seven blocks. With three more blocks, Williams would have joined Magic Johnson as the only opponent to ever record a triple-double against Kansas.
Chalmers had 22 points for Kansas (10-2) while Julian Wright had 13 points and 12 rebounds.
No. 12 LSU 68, Louisiana Tech 52
BATON ROUGE, La. -- Glen Davis bounced back from a season-low eight points with 23 and Terry Martin added to lead LSU.
Davis, who struggled in the Tigers' 88-72 loss at No. 17 Washington on Wednesday, made a career-high 15 free throws and grabbed a season-high 14 rebounds.
Martin, playing in just his second game since becoming eligible, was 7-of-9 from the field, including 5-of-6 from 3-point range.
LSU (7-3) extended its homecourt winning streak against Louisiana schools to 64 games. Louisiana Tech (2-9) is the last team to win at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center, that coming 18 seasons ago.
Trey McDowell equaled his season-high with 19 points for the Bulldogs, while Chad McKenzie added 12 points and Terry Parker had 10.
Martin provided a spark when he entered the game in the first half, scoring 13 points in nine minutes.
All of Martin's points came during a stretch in which LSU outscored Louisiana Tech 15-4. Martin's first 3-pointer gave the Tigers a 14-8 lead. Following a field goal by Parker, Martin hit consecutive 3s.
A basket by Martin gave LSU a 26-12 lead, but five points by McDowell helped the Bulldogs trim the deficit to 33-22 at halftime.
Louisiana Tech cut the Tigers' lead to 40-33 at the start of the second half. McKenzie connected on two field goals and a foul shot during that stretch.
LSU then put the game away with a 13-2 run.

Maarty Leunen had 10 points and a career-high 18 rebounds, and Adam Zahn added career highs of 15 points and 11 rebounds for the short-handed Ducks (11-0), who are off to their best start in 60 years. Oregon was 12-0 in 1946-47.
Freshman James Florence had 19 points for Mercer (5-6) and fouled out with 5 minutes remaining.
No. 24 Air Force-N. Colorado, ppd.
AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. -- Air Force's 10-day break for final exams has been extended to 15 days because of the blizzard that dumped up to 3 feet of snow on Colorado this week.
The 24th-ranked Falcons (11-1) were scheduled to play at Northern Colorado on Saturday, but that game was postponed Thursday because of travel complications from the snowstorm that hit Colorado's most populous region. A makeup date has not been announced.
WomenNo. 6 Connecticut 85, Oakland 53
HARTFORD, Conn. -- Kalana Greene had 14 points and 13 rebounds as Connecticut remained undefeated.
Four Huskies scored in double figures to lead UConn to its first 9-0 start in three seasons.
Oakland (4-8) scored the game's first point, but never led again. Nicole Piggott led Oakland with 14 points and Jessica Pike had 10.
UConn used a 12-0 run to go up 25-7, scoring 18 of those 25 points in the paint.
The Huskies' two centers, 6-foot-3 Brittany Hunter and 6-4 freshman Tina Charles, dominated underneath in the first half, before both left the game with injuries.
