SALES
Tony Tesone of Boardman recently was named a sales specialist at Molecular Pathology Laboratory Network, based in Maryville, Tenn. Tesone will call on MPLN's current and potential clients in New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. He had been a senior technical sales specialist at Bayer Healthcare. He earned a bachelor's degree in medical technology/chemistry from Youngstown State University.
MEDICINE
Dr. Curtis Jantzi has joined UPMC Horizon's medical staff and Hermitage Community Medicine-UPMC. He earned his undergraduate degree at Goshen College and his medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed an internship and residencies in pediatrics and family practice at Mercy Hospital of Pittsburgh, where he served as chief resident.
FINANCE
Sky Financial Group has promoted Linda Booker to team leader, community mortgage lending. She works in the South Avenue office in Boardman. She had been a community mortgage lender. Sky also promoted Brian Matthews to community development sales manager at its Akron office. He had been a community development officer. He earned a bachelor's degree in business management from Youngstown State University.
SERVICE
Don Rex of Girard has been named coordinator of the 21st Century Community Learning Center by the Girard Board of Education. The center provides after-school physical activities and academic programs.
MEDIA
WYTV/myYTV has added Jim Loboy to its morning news team. He received a bachelor's degree in telecommunications at Youngstown State University and has worked in media in Youngstown for years.
RETAIL
Jim Spaite has joined Cirelli Jewelers. He previously worked for TeleGold Jewelers, Design Creations and Adamas Jewelry. He has been involved in custom jewelry design and repairs since 1977.
