IN DECEMBER Religious events



There are four religious events in December.
Bodhi Day: A Buddhist holiday usually celebrated Dec. 8 to mark the awakening of Buddha.
Christmas: A Christian holiday that celebrates the birth of Christ. It's Dec. 25 every year.
Eid al Adha: A 3-day Muslim holiday that commemorates Ibraham's (Abraham) willingness to obey God by sacrificing his son. Usually in December, it will be Dec. 31-to Jan. 2 this year.
Hanukkah: Jewish holiday also is known as the Festival of Lights. It falls anytime from November-January and celebrates the rededication of the Temple in Jerusalem.
