Born: Dec. 25, 1906, in Pittsburgh.
Parents: The eldest daughter of Hershel and Sophie Forman Waldman.
Address: Resident at Heritage Manor Jewish Home for the Aged on Youngstown's North Side.
Married: Frank Haber on April 7, 1946, in a private ceremony. He died in 1998 at the age of 88.
Family: A son, Jerry Haber, was born in 1951, and lives in Boardman with his wife, Vincetta, and their daughter, Adrianna.
Siblings: A brother, Saul, lives in California. Her younger siblings, Clara, Sara, Martin and Estelle, are deceased.
Schooling: Was valedictorian of her graduating class at New Castle High School, New Castle, Pa.
Employment: Was comptroller at the former Davis Coal Co. and in 1980 joined the family-owned business, Haber Furniture Co., 100 Federal Plaza E., Youngstown, full time in office management and human resources until it closed May 31, 1985, after 40 years in the area. During the 1950s she and Laverne Cooper opened The Yarn Shop on Boardman Street, Youngstown.
Church affiliations: Was an active member of the Orthodox Synagogue in New Castle.
Activities: An accomplished pianist, equestrian, singer and dancer.
Hobbies: She enjoyed knitting, embroidering and needlepoint until a few years ago.
Celebration: Her son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter will host a party in her honor from 2 to 4 p.m. Monday at Heritage Manor. Family, friends and nursing-home staff will be guests, and there will be live music and a special commemoration.
