FOR THE REST OF US: Phil Davis puts plastic over some Festivus poles before they are shipped at the Wagner Companies in Milwaukee. The company, which makes handrail components, last year launched a product on a whim: Festivus poles for the holiday season, in honor of a whacky holiday popularized in a 1997 "Seinfeld" episode in which the festivities featured a plain aluminum pole instead of a tree.
