Woman arrested on drug-trafficking charge

BOARDMAN -- Police arrested a Tippecanoe Road woman on a charge of trafficking in marijuana after searching her home.
Township police along with an agent of the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation and officers from other departments searched the home of Meghan M. Jaeger, 20, on Monday after obtaining a search warrant.
Officers knocked on the door and when no one answered forced the door open.
A police report says they found a small growing operation in the basement with 15 small plants growing in plastic foam cups.
In a kitchen cupboard, officers found nine bags of marijuana packaged for sale along with scales and marijuana pipes.
Jaeger was charged Tuesday. She was released on a summons to appear today in Mahoning County Court here.
Officers from Austintown, Canfield, North Jackson and Lordstown police departments and deputy sheriffs from Mahoning and Trumbull counties participated in the search.
