Packard gets rights to stage 'Monologues'

WARREN -- Packard Music Hall Foundation has been granted the rights to perform "The Vagina Monologues."
Performance rights to the stage show, written by Eve Ensler, are granted each year to groups to raise money and awareness for local organizations to stop violence against women.
The play will be presented Feb. 17 at Packard Music Hall. All profits will be donated to two local shelters: Someplace Safe and The Beatitudes House.
In 2006, "Monologues" was performed at 1,100 venues around the world.
