Baldwin-Wallace tops Mount Union in OAC
Tori Davis and Dennis Santiago paced the Yellow Jackets in the 81-75 win.
BEREA -- Tori Davis and Dennis Santiago scored 21 points each, as Baldwin-Wallace defeated Mount Union, 81-75, in an Ohio Athletic Conference game Wednesday.
Louis Tumblin added 15 points for the Yellow Jackets (6-2, 3-1 OAC).
Sam King led Mount Union (4-4, 1-3) with 15 points, while Justin Francis, Nick Sefscik and Eric Fender (Poland) all tallied 11.
Baldwin-Wallace led 75-70 with 1:56 remaining in the game, but the Purple Raiders closed to 77-75. Davis and Andrew Bene both made a pair of foul shots in the final 15 seconds for the Yellow Jackets.
East Stroudsburg 68,Slippery Rock 54
SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. -- Glenn Reepmeyer had 12 points and 17 rebounds in a losing effort for The Rock (3-8).
Kenny Smith scored 14 points to lead Slippery Rock, which was tied 29-all at halftime.
East Stroudsburg (7-2) was led by Josh Wentz, who scored 21 points, and Murivn English, who added 11.
Walsh 81, Central Methodist 78
ORLANDO, Fla. -- Brandon Weems tied a school record with 17 assists and Walsh won its fifth straight game.
Eder Araujo and Derek Chappell led the Cavaliers (10-3) with 15 points each; Chappell also had a game-high 10 rebounds. Corey Jones added 13 points and Eric Love scored 12 for Walsh.
Women
WAYNESBURG, Pa. -- Playing for the first time in 12 days, Geneva College pulled away in the second half to defeat Waynesburg, 68-51.
Allyson Clarke led the Golden Tornadoes (7-2) with 15 points and nine rebounds, while Kylee Kittner and Bridget Beachy both scored 12. Beachy was 4-of-6 on 3-pointers.
Geneva led 25-24 at halftime.
East Stroudsburg 72,Slippery Rock 67
SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. -- Nikki Presto scored 20 points for The Rock, which led by two points at halftime before faltering.
Dana Stewart, Chere' Marshall and Amanda Nero (Lowellville) all scored 10 points for Slippery Rock (3-6).
Alyssa Antolick scored 23 points off the bench for East Stroudsburg (7-1). Jackie Yandrisevits added 16 points, Monkia Fogelsanger scored 11 and Jhazmin Brown finished with 10.
Westminster 59, Ursuline 49
NASSAU, Bahamas -- Westminster won its second straight game at the Bahamas Sunshine Shootout Tuesda, finishing the game on a 16-3 run.
The Titans (7-3) have won seven of their last eight games. They were led Tuesday by Emilee Ackerman with 19 points. Ackerman scored 43 points in two games and was named to the all-tournament team.
Desiree Sterling (Newton Falls) was also named all-tournament, scoring 15 points Tuesday, and adding three assists and three steals.
