GETTING IT RIGHT
Wendy Kosovec, former McDonald village clerk, was sentenced in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court for dereliction of duty. She had, however, passed a polygraph test that asked whether she had taken 1,292 missing from the village in 2002. She truthfully answered that she had not, prosecutors said, so a more serious felony theft charge was dropped. A story in The Vindicator last Tuesday did not indicate why the theft charge was dropped.
