Barking dog leads to three drug arrests



MASURY -- Brookfield Township police responding to a barking dog complaint instead arrested three people and seized 161/2 pounds of suspected marijuana.
Chief Daniel Faustino said police went to 1071 Broadway Ave. at 10:22 p.m. Monday for a complaint of a barking dog. As they approached the residence they saw two men inside dividing up a large quantity of suspected marijuana. A vehicle attempted to leave and was stopped by the officers. Inside was 41/2 pounds of suspected marijuana.
Police then obtained a search warrant and returned to the residence. They then searched the house and seized an additional 12 pounds of suspected marijuana, packaging supplies and an SKS rifle. Police said the approximate street value of the marijuana is $16,000.
Police charged the home's resident, Latesha C. Hubbard, 28, and Michael E. Robinson, 33 of Vine Street, New Castle, Pa. with trafficking in drugs, and charged the driver of the vehicle, Albert S. Crockett, 28 of Highland Road, Hermitage, Pa., with trafficking in drugs and driving under suspension.
