Valley man's death is ruled suspicious

Tuesday, August 29, 2006 YOUNGSTOWN — Police are investigating the death of an Austintown man as suspicious pending a ruling by the Mahoning County coroner. Police said they found Anthony Campbell, 52, of Westchester Drive, on the ground at Orange and Rockview avenues on the South Side around 4:30 p.m. Monday with Rural Metro paramedics performing CPR. Police said Campbell was on the pavement in front of a silver Mercedez Benz, and there was a small amount of blood on the ground near the man's head and on a baseball cap on the ground a few feet away. Near the baseball cap there were also sunglasses and a prescription inhaler. Witnesses said they were working in the 1000 block of Orange when they saw Campbell on the ground in front of his car.
