Foreigner, Frampton concert to close fair

Sunday, August 27, 2006 THE VINDICATOR Foreigner, whose eponymously named 1977 debut album sold 4 million units in the United States, will headline the final grandstand show at the 2006 Canfield Fair. The group released eight albums in the '70s, '80s and '90s, and had hits such as "Feels Like the First Time," "Cold as Ice," "Double Vision," "Hot Blooded," "Head Games," "Dirty White Boy," "Urgent," "Waiting for a Girl Like You" and "I Want to Know What Love Is." Although singer Lou Gramm left the group in 2003, guitarist Mick Jones kept the band together by hiring Kelly Hansen to replace him. Peter Frampton, whose "Frampton Comes Alive" was a massive hit in the late '70s, will be a special guest. The concert begins at 8 p.m. on Labor Day, Sept. 4. Tickets are $29 and $25 and are available by calling (330) 533-4107 or at www.canfieldfair.com.
