Saturday, August 26, 2006 North Side killing YOUNGSTOWN — A man died during surgery at St. Elizabeth Health Center about 9:30 p.m. Friday after he was shot earlier at a house on Saranac Avenue on the city's North Side. Police said they were not releasing the name of the victim pending notification of his family. Police said they had a suspect and were looking for him. They said the suspect is Gregory McGee, 22, who was described as being 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighing about 175 pounds. The victim was shot about 4:48 p.m. Friday. The gunman may have been in a red car, police said. Kennedy bus stop YOUNGSTOWN — The New Castle Transit Authority will begin service Monday for pupils in the Mahoning Valley attending Kennedy Catholic High School. The students will be picked up at 7:05 a.m. at Lincoln Knolls Plaza on U.S. Route 422 and returned to the plaza at 4 p.m. The cost is $2 per trip. Warren driver killed NEWTON FALLS — The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal accident. Ryan A. Hinkle, 25, of Warren, was driving his 2004 Pontiac Grand Am east on Newton-Tomlinson Road at about 12:54 a.m. Friday when he ran into a culvert, causing the vehicle to overturn and hit a tree. Hinkle was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger, Christal Carr, 31, of Warren, was taken to Forum Health Trumbull Memorial Hospital, where she was treated. Motorists hurt in Pa. SHARON — The Pennsylvania State Police in Mercer County said they were investigating several wrecks late Friday that involved injuries, including one fatality. The state police said troopers were still on the scene late Friday night. No information about the accidents or victims was available. Man charged in break-in AUSTINTOWN — Police arrested a New Middletown man after finding him hiding in a Shutrump Court storage facility. Jamie D. Kozic, 26, of East Calla Road, was charged with two counts of felony breaking and entering. Kozic was released after posting bond and is to appear Monday in Mahoning County Court here. About 4:30 p.m. Thursday, the owner of the storage area went inside to retrieve some tools and saw items out of place and then heard noises inside. He then saw a man leave through a hole that had been kicked into an overhead door and ran after him but didn't catch up to him. The owner then returned to the building and still heard noises; he locked the building and called police. When police arrived, they saw a small amount of blood. They identified themselves as police, and Kozic emerged from the bed of a dump truck inside the building. He was treated at St. Elizabeth Health Center, Austintown, for injuries he had sustained trying to get out of the building. Robber gets prison time WARREN — A city man has been sentenced to three years in prison for a robbery at the Belleria Restaurant parking lot on Youngstown Road. Vincent Felicetty, 49, of Union Street Southwest, pleaded guilty Friday to aggravated robbery in the Trumbull County Common Pleas courtroom of Judge W. Wyatt McKay. The charge stems from a report that Felicetty robbed a 57-year-old Niles woman Jan. 24. A police report said he ripped the purse off a woman's shoulder while carrying a stick and fled in a vehicle. When police arrested Felicetty later in Niles based on the woman's description of his vehicle and license plate, the victim's credit card was found on the front seat of his vehicle, police said.
