Friday, August 25, 2006 SCOPE Howland Senior Center, 8273 High St. N.E., Warren, activities include a blood drive from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday and a free bone density test and spinal screenings from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday with a lunch buffet at 11:30 (cost $2), and free talks on electricity conservation and new voter laws. Events are open to the public. A trip is planned to Branson, Charleston and Savannah. Senior Center of Mahoning County, 1110 Fifth Ave., Youngstown, has planned the following activities: Monday, All That Jazz at 9 a.m., autobiographical writing class at 10 and bridge at 1 p.m.; Tuesday, oil painting at 10 a.m., computer class at 10 and noon, drawing at noon and digital club at 2 p.m.; Wednesday, watercolor class at 10 a.m. and 500 cards at 1 p.m.; Thursday, woodcarvers and Watch Our Weight Club at 9 a.m., Hugs and Stitches Sewing at 10 and line dancing at 1:30 p.m.; and Friday, scheduled fun days and parties.
