Quinn dealership, GMAC reach a deal

Friday, August 25, 2006 LISBON — Quinn Chevrolet Buick expects to have all its vehicles back on its lot by the end of today after settling a lawsuit filed by General Motors' financing arm, GMAC. Chris Donato, a salesman at the dealership and stepson of owner Rick Quinn, said Thursday the dealership and GMAC had reached an agreement. That was confirmed by the bailiff for Judge C. Ashley Pike of Columbiana County Common Pleas Court. The settlement documents will be filed with the court by Sept. 7. Donato said Quinn was helping to return the 159 vehicles Judge Pike allowed GMAC to take earlier this month. The lawsuit contended several cars that had been sold by the dealership had not been paid for. Donato said those issues have been resolved, and the dealership again has its financing in place.
