Tips make skinny jeans fit for all shapes

NEW YORK (AP) -- Skinny jeans are big fashion news right now, but a lot of women might be hesitant to try the look because they're concerned how such a slim cut -- and tapered bottom -- will look on their bodies.
Jean Lafata-Jones, the vice president of apparel marketing for Silhouettes, an online- and catalog-based retailer that specializes in sizes 12 and up, insists skinny jeans aren't only for skinny people. Her tips:
Choose a pair with extra-long legs, as the jeans are more flattering if they're slightly scrunched up at the ankle.
Wear the jeans with a loose bohemian-style top. It'll help balance the proportion of the outfit. A tight top with a tight bottom is a "don't" for anyone, Lafata-Jones says.
Jeans with a darker wash and higher waistline elongate your midsection.
For accessories, choose either a high heel or ballet flat, nothing chunky or clunky.
