Sunday, August 20, 2006 CHRISTINA GEITGEY BRANDON KAPPLER GREENFORD — The July 15 wedding of Christina Geitgey, a daughter of David and Georgia Geitgey, 3799 Monaca Ave., Youngstown, and Brandon Kappler, a son of Ron and Lynne Kappler, 12193 Green Beaver Road, Salem, took place at Greenford Christian Church. The marriage was solemnized at 1:30 p.m. by the Rev. Jeff Hugus, and a reception was held for the couple that evening at the Operating Engineers Hall in Boardman. After a wedding trip to Ogunquit, Maine, and Niagara Falls, the Kapplers live in North Lima. Swarovski crystals, beading and embroidery enhanced the bodice of the bride's strapless gown of ivory Italian satin featuring a back-sash train. Wearing celedon-colored gowns were the honor attendants, Jen McVay and the bride's sister, Heather Geitgey. Similarly attired were the bridesmaids, Marianne Geitgey, sister of the bride, and Michelle Smith, the groom's sister. Flower girls were Katie Sebastian and the groom's cousin, Kate Yeagley. Serving a best man was Jim McLoud, and groomsmen were Cody White, Jeff Schindler and the groom's brother-in-law, Brandon Smith. Ring bearers were Micah and Elijah Labby. The bride, a teacher with South Range School District in North Lima, graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor's degree. The groom is attending YSU and is employed in the quality department of General Extrusions in Youngstown.
