Back-seat passenger is killed in car crash

Sunday, August 20, 2006 BROOKFIELD — A 21-year-old Hermitage, Pa., man was killed early Saturday when he was ejected from the rear seat of the car in which he was riding went off the right side of the road, over a guardrail and overturned. The crash occurred at 3:30 a.m. on the ramp coming off state Route 82 onto state Route 62, Ohio State Highway Patrol officials said. Kellen D. Newby was pronounced dead at the scene, the patrol reported. The driver, Lionel G. Stinson Jr., 21, of Sharon, Pa., suffered minor injuries. He was taken to the Warren Post of the OSHP, where he submitted to a breath test and tested over the legal limit of .08. He was charged with aggravated vehicular homicide and taken to Trumbull County Jail, the OSHP said. Injuries sustained by another passenger, Joshua Savage, 21, of Farrell, Pa., were not life threatening. He was taken to Sharon Regional Health System's hospital, where he was treated.
