WARREN -- A woman who said she had breathing difficulties after a municipal judge told her she was going to jail disappeared from a local hospital and is wanted on a misdemeanor escape warrant.
Jeannette E. Gunther, 55, of Commerce Avenue Northwest, complained of a breathing problem Monday after Judge Thomas Gysegem told her he'd keep her in jail without bond to ensure she'd show up for her next court date.
Gunther, who was in court Monday because she missed a Thursday court date on traffic charges, was taken to Forum Health Trumbull Memorial Hospital, left the hospital and is still at large, said bailiff Jeff Hovanic.
Gunther has a history of missing court appearances, Hovanic said.
