XYOUNGSTOWN -- The 60th anniversary of their wedding will be celebrated by Mr. and Mrs. Bud Evans, 3100 Flo-Lor Drive, during a family dinner party to be held April 29 at the Das Dutch Haus in Columbiana.
Their family includes Sue Holt of Elmore; Tom and Bonnie Evans of Bradenton, Fla.; and Tim and Rita Evans of Youngstown. Six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren complete their family.
The former Theresa Hughes and Mr. Evans were married April 29, 1946, at the United Methodist Church in Mercer, Pa. They are members of West Side Baptist Church.
When Mr. Evans retired as a tool and die maker from Youngstown Steel Door in 1980, and the couple moved to Ellenton, Fla., where they spend part of each year.
Mr. Evans was employed with Ace Hardware in Ellenton from 1980 to 1999. He served with the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Mrs. Evans was employed in medical billing by Drs. Baran and Stoutamyer in Bradenton prior to retiring in 1999.
