XBERLIN CENTER -- Mr. and Mrs. Robert C. Day, 16257 Heiser Road, are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Kerry Day of the same address, and Jeffrey Bettross, 1222 S. Turner Road, Austintown, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Gerard Bettross, 6087 Elk Road, Canfield.
Miss Day graduated from Bethany College in West Virginia with a bachelor's degree and from West Virginia University in Morgantown with a master's in elementary education. She is a part-time tutor with South Range Elementary School in North Lima.
Mr. Bettross is a union carpenter with Local 171 of Youngstown.
The couple will be married during an open ceremony they have planned for noon July 15 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Austintown. Their black-tie reception will be held by invitation that evening at St. Mary's Assumption Social Center, Youngstown.
