COLUMBIANA -- B.E. Taylor will return to Old-Fashioned Christmas in the Woods at Shaker Woods on Oct. 8 and 9. He will perform the first weekend of the event, which also runs Oct. 15-16.
The 11th annual festival will host more than 200 quality craftspeople and artisans. In a manicured, wooded setting, juried costumed crafters will have their booths decorated in an old-fashioned holiday theme. The exhibitors will demonstrate their crafts and sell a wide selection of handcrafted and traditional crafts. Live entertainment is featured on three stages.
Three performances
On Oct. 8 and 9, B.E. Taylor will perform on the Simple Gifts Stage, with three performances each day: 11 a.m. to noon, 1 to 2 p.m. and 3 to 4 p.m.
B.E. Taylor is known for his popular B.E. Taylor Christmas Concert, which has captivated sold-out audiences throughout the Midwest for more than 10 years.
Also returning to Old-Fashioned Christmas in the Woods is David Young of Celestial Winds, Hollywood, Calif.
With his unique Renaissance flute music, this entertainer will perform on the Garden Stage each day of the festival. Young attracts shoppers to sit down, rest their feet and enjoy his soothing melodies. This year, he chose Christmas in the Woods for the nationwide release of his new 32-page children's book, which includes a 55-minute made for TV DVD.
Hours for the festival are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day, rain or shine. Daily general admission tickets will be on sale at the gate. General admission for adults is $6 per day, with children under 12 admitted free.
The festival location is on state Route 7, one mile north of the intersection of state Route 14.
