Dance competition at Holiday Inn to benefit Tod Children's Hospital

BOARDMAN -- A friendly dance competition will be held Friday at the Holiday Inn-Boardman in an effort to raise funds for Tod Children's Hospital.
The "Dancing with the Valley Stars" event, inspired by the hit TV show, "Dancing with the Stars," will feature local celebrities who will perform ballroom-style dances that they have rehearsed with dance instructors. The audience will vote for their favorites by making a donation to the hospital. The pair with the highest donation total will be named the champions.
Among those performing will be A.C. McCullough and Kelly Stevens of WHOT; Frank Marzullo, Laurie Lehosky and Susan DeLeo of WFMJ; Melissa Mack of WYTV; Amber Nicotra of WKBN; state Sen. Bob Hagan; Tod pediatrician Dr. Stephanie Dewar; and martial arts expert Master Park.
Instructors from Fred Astaire Dance Studios, Ballroom with Style School of Dance and Ballroom Dance Club are donating their services.
Tickets for the event are $75 and include hors d'oeuvres, cocktails and other refreshments. They are available at the front desk of the Holiday Inn-Boardman or by calling (330) 726-1611 or (330) 884-4774.
