XSULLIVAN'S ISLAND, S.C. -- Stella Maris Roman Catholic Church was the setting at 6 p.m. Aug. 5 for the wedding of Justine Mary Petracci and Christopher D. Lawson, both of Mount Pleasant, S.C. Monsignor Lawrence B. McInerny officiated.
After a reception at The Citadel Beach House in Isle of Palms, S.C., the daughter of Dina M. Petracci of Campbell and the late Arthur S. Petracci, and the son of Dr. and Mrs. Richard W. Lawson of Dallas, left for Cabo San Lucas, Todos Santos and LaPaz in Mexico. They live in Mount Pleasant.
Given in marriage by her brother, John Petracci, the bride wore a sheath dress enhanced with Alencon lace and a cathedral-length veil.
Mango-colored gowns were worn by the bride's sister and honor attendant, Janeen Suverison, and the bridesmaids, Jessica Eaton, Tracy Grebe, Terri Cotter and Jennifer Bryant. Flower girl was the bride's niece, Alana Petracci.
Groomsmen were Dr. Jonathan Davis, Paul Lin, Kasey Hughes and J. Eric Hudgins. Ring bearer was Angelo Petracci, and ushers were Stephen and Brandon Suverison, all nephews of the bride.
The bride graduated from Ohio Northern University and is a clinical pharmacy manager with the Lowcountry Infectious Diseases Pharmacy in Charleston, S.C.
The groom, a member of South Carolina National Guard, is employed with State Farm Insurance Agency in Charleston. A graduate of Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas, he is pursuing a master's in history at The Citadel in Charleston.
