Finamores observe 50th anniversary at Mass, dinner

XVIENNA -- Two events were held in celebration of the 50th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Rudy Finamore, 579 Sodom Hutchings S.E.
The couple were honored Sept. 3 at a dinner held by family and friends at Alberini's Restaurant in Niles and Sept. 4 with an anniversary Mass at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, where they are members.
Arrangements for the events were made by their family, Mark Finamore of Vienna; Catherine and Michael Henry of Jacksonville, Fla.; Mary Jo and Kevin Johnson of Avelton, Md.; Laurie Finamore of Sharpsville, Pa.; and Ann and George Balut of Columbus. There are seven grandchildren in the family.
The former Mary Jane DiCola and Mr. Finamore were married Sept. 3, 1955, at the church.
Mrs. Finamore retired in 1990 as a registered nurse at St. Joseph Riverside Hospital in Warren. She is a member of the Women's Guild at the church.
Mr. Finamore served with the U.S. Army, 180th Infantry Tank Co., 45th Division in Korea in 1951-52. He retired in 1985 from Westinghouse Electric Corp. in Sharon, Pa., as a core builder-furnace operator and in 1993 from Sears in Niles, where he was in sales. He is a member of Vienna VFW Post 3521, the 45th Infantry Division Association, and the 180th Tank Co.
