Fitch girls defeat Stow to stay unbeaten

AUSTINTOWN -- The Fitch High girls volleyball team stayed unbeaten with a 25-12, 25-13, 33-31 victory over Stow on Saturday.
Caitlin O'Patchen led the Falcons (3-0) with 21 points, 17 blocks, 34 assists and two aces. Meghan McDermott added 20 points, eight kills and nine digs. Rachel Dupay finished with 15 points, 12 blocks and six kills. Nicole Smaldino had 14 digs.
Leah Thorson led the Bulldogs with 10 kills and five service points.
Cloverleaf Invitational
CLOVERLEAF -- Boardman defeated Cloverleaf 24-26, 25-21-15-11 for the championship in the Cloverleaf Invitational.
Courtney Schiffauer led the Spartans with 10 kills and five blocks. April Milquest added nine kills and six blocks, and Katie Spatara had 11 assists.
In another match, Milquest had five kills and four blocks as Boardman beat Coventry 25-17, 25-13. Schiffauer added three kills and four aces. Danielle Williams had five assists.
Ali Sfara had seven kills as Boardman defeated Northwestern 24-26, 25-21, 15-11. Williams had 12 assists and Spatara had 11.
Salem 21-25-15,Jefferson Area 25-23-10
SALEM -- Sarah Brobeck led the Quakers with eight kills and two blocks. Brittany Gregory had seven kills and two blocks. Sarah Ravelli had three aces and four kills.
Jefferson is 4-1.
Canton GlenOak 14-25-15,Salem 25-16-7
SALEM -- Brobeck had five kills and three blocks for the Quakers (2-2). Paige Kenreigh had 15 assists, two aces, one tip and a block.
