ALISSA VRANCHESJIM DAMIANI
XYOUNGSTOWN -- The wedding of Alissa Vranches and Jim Damiani, both of 3569 Ingleside Road, Shaker Heights, took place at 2 p.m. July 30 at St. Columba Cathedral. The Rev. John Keehner officiated, and a reception followed at the Holiday Inn MetroPlex Centre, Liberty.
The couple honeymooned at Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic and live in Shaker Heights.
Gregory and Debbie Vranches, 3908 Dorado Beach Drive, Canfield, are the bride's parents, and the groom is a son of Dr. John and Clara Damiani, 1885 North Road, Warren.
The bride's diamond-white strapless gown featured a banded bodice, smocked style skirt and a chapel train. It was enhanced with blush and pearl accents.
Wearing light-pink gowns were the bride's sister and honor attendant, Erinn Vranches of Canfield, and the bridesmaids, Lisa Kennedy of Green and Colleen Collins of Largo, Fla., a cousin of the bride. Flower girl was Marysia LaRosa of Atlanta, the groom's cousin.
Best man was the groom's brother, Dr. John Damiani of Dearborn, Mich., and groomsmen were Bill Lackey and Mike Branicky, both of Cleveland. Ushers were the groom's nephews, Christopher and Andrew Weaver, both of Cleveland.
The bride, a special-education teacher with Cleveland Municipal School District, graduated from Kent State University and Baldwin Wallace College.
The groom is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University and is an accountant with Great Lakes Financial Group in Cleveland.
