Area falls to array of color

A warm summer and mild fall have caused foliage in the Valley to peak a little later than usual. Despite Saturday's low temperature of 29 degrees at the Youngstown-Warren Regional Airport and early-morning temperatures in the 30s in other parts of the Valley, a variety of flowers can still be seen in yards, Mill Creek Park and elsewhere in the region. This colorful backdrop to Lake Glacier Falls in Mill Creek Park exemplifies conditions that many people enjoy seeing before being faced with the cold, stark reality that winter is on its way.
