Saturday, October 29, 2005

WARREN -- City police have identified the woman killed Thursday in a two-car crash on Tod Avenue as 24-year-old Tiffany Walker of Commerce Street Northwest.
The passengers in the 1990 Pontiac Grand Prix she was driving -- two children and an adult -- remain hospitalized.
Andre Russell, 23, of Oriole Place Southwest, is in the intensive care unit of St. Elizabeth Health Center.
One of the children, Cassie Walker, remains in good condition in Akron Children's Hospital. Chardoney Bruno is in stable condition in St. Elizabeth's. Their ages were not available.
Traffic investigator Detective Mike Stabile said he has been unable to talk with the Walker family, but believes Walker is the mother of the two children.
The driver of the other car, Lemont Smith, 24, of Parkman Road Southwest, was released after treatment at Forum Health Trumbull Memorial Hospital.
Stabile said Walker was driving her car northbound on Tod Thursday afternoon when she lost control near Palmyra Road. The car went left of center on a curve and struck an oncoming car driven by Smith.
Stabile said speed and wet road conditions contributed to the accident.
