Veterans Day program will feature music and rare photographs from World War II

HERMITAGE, Pa. -- The music of World War II will be featured in a Veterans Day program Nov. 10 at the Shenango Valley Senior Community Center, 220 N. Buhl Farm Drive.
Veterans of all ages are welcome to the complimentary lunch at noon. Other lunch guests must donate $2.
Phillip Attenberry, Ph.D., will give the program on music at 1 p.m., and it will feature recorded music, rare photographs and vintage sheets of music of Glenn Miller, Bing Crosby, the Andrews Sisters, Kate Smith and others.
The free music program is sponsored by the Pennsylvania Humanities Council. Local sponsors are Sharon Lifelong Learning Council, Shenango Valley Community Library and Shenango Valley Senior Community Center.
Registration for lunch is required by Nov. 7. Anyone attending should call (724) 981-7950. Registration is not necessary for the music program.
