Shirley Kirkwood is the mother of the late James McDonough, a Marine killed in the Beirut bombing 22 years ago. A photo caption in Monday's edition incorrectly identified her as the mother of the late Stanley Sliwinski, a fellow Marine who also was killed in the bombing. Sliwinski is the son of Mildred Sliwinski.
