An interview and musical performance will be videotaped before a live studio audience at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the LMS Studio, Oak Hill Renaissance Place (the former Southsie Hospital). The show will air at 1:37 a.m Nov. 14 on WKBN-TV 27.

Hear 'ghostly music'on Halloween night
YOUNGSTOWN -- "A Ghostly Music Review" will be played on Halloween at 8 p.m. Monday at Powers Auditorium by the Youngstown Concert Band and Symphonic Wind Ensemble.
Works by Malcolm Arnold, Frank Ticheli, J.S. Bach, Eric Whitacre and Dmitri Shostakovich will be featured.
The cost is $5 for adults, $2 for students and senior citizens. Admission is free for any YSU student and staff with valid ID card.
Doc Severinsen swingsinto New Castle
NEW CASTLE, Pa. -- Doc Severinsen, the flamboyant and Grammy-winning music director of "The Tonight Show," will conduct and perform with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra as part of the PNC Pittsburgh Pops series during a concert at 8 p.m. Nov. 16 at the Scottish Rite Cathedral.
He also will be guest conductor with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra during concerts Nov. 17-20 at Heinz Hall.
Severinsen, whose career has spanned more than four decades, is the principal pops conductor of the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, the Minnesota Orchestra and Phoenix Symphony.

Ooo la la, SRU putsspotlight on French
SLIPPERY ROCK -- The art of France will be highlighted when Slippery Rock University marks Focus on French Week Nov. 7-10. The works of painter Michele Caillaud-Houel and sculptor Thierry Cayo will be showcased.
A display of contemporary artists' works will be shown Nov. 10 and 11 in Carruth Rizza Hall. A reception and presentation of artists at 4 p.m. Nov. 10 in Russell Wright Alumni House.
Other activities will be the showing of "Tanguy," a recent French comedy, at 4 p.m. Nov. 7 at Carruth Rizza Room 212 and crepes will be served; French games will be played at 12:30 p.m. Nov. 8 at Bailey Library Quad; and SRU French majors will give presentations on various aspects of French culture at 12:30 p.m. Nov. 10 at Carruth Rizza Room 203 and there will be a French luncheon. Opening-night buffetset by YSU Theater
YOUNGSTOWN -- "The Miser" will open at 8 p.m. Nov. 10 in Spotlight Arena at Youngstown State University. The play by Moliere is a classic comedy in literature.

'The Things They Carried' in Cleveland
CLEVELAND -- "The Things They Carried," a collection of stories from writer Tim O'Brien on his experiences during the Vietnam War, will be staged in the new Studio One at Idea Center, Playhouse Square Center.
Performances will take place at 5 and 8 p.m. Nov. 11, 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Nov. 12 and 3 and 7 p.m. Nov. 13.
