Lordstown man robbed on Belmont Avenue



YOUNGSTOWN -- A 30-year-old Lordstown man was robbed of about $270 shortly after 1 p.m. Thursday while having lunch in his work truck.
The victim told police he was in his truck at Galaxy Seafood, 1722 Belmont Ave., when a man walked up to the driver's side with his hands in his pockets and demanded his wallet. After finding no money in the wallet, the robber told the victim to empty his pockets and he complied, a police report shows.
The perpetrator ran toward the back of the restaurant, and the victim said he saw no weapon, the report says.
The robber was described as black, around 30 years old, 5 feet 6 inches and 160 pounds, wearing black sweat pants and a black hood.
No arrests had been made as of Thursday evening.
