Notre Dame 6, Geneva 2 --Will Godfrey, a junior defender from North Sewickley Township, scored early for Geneva, then Scott Holden, a senior forward from Cranberry, gave the Golden Tornadoes a 2-1 lead, but Notre Dame rallied for the final five goals.Geneva dropped to 6-8-1.

Marietta 1, Mount Union 0 -- Vanessa Nicholls had the lone goal and Jill Sorboro had the assist for Marietta (14-2-2, 5-2-1 OAC). Mount Union dropped to 6-10-1, 3-4-1 OAC.
Grove City 3, Thiel 0 -- Maia Siber scored off of a Stacey Brubacker corner kick in the 10th minute to put the Wolverines (6-9-2, 6-3-2) up, 1-0, before Katie Klingensmith extended the lead to 2-0 in the 19th minute off of a Brubaker assist. Anne Koller had the final goal in the 56th minute. Freshman goalkeeper Bethany Preston (Elma, N.Y.) earned the shutout win by stopping two shots. Grove City out-shot the Tomcats, 24-2. Thiel's senior goalkeeper Ashleigh Dunsmore (Erie/Harbor Creek) totaled 14 saves in the loss. Thiel (0-18, 0-11) wraps up its 2005 season Oct. 27 when they host PAC newcomer Thomas More College at 3 p.m.
VOLLEYBALL
Westminster 3, Wash. & amp; Jeff. 1 -- Senior outside hitter Erin Hinks (Mineral Ridge) tied her season-high with 22 kills, followed by junior middle hitter Katie McDermott (Austintown HS) and sophomore middle hitter Danielle Hogue (Slippery Rock HS) with nine kills apiece for the Titans (18-14, 6-4 PAC).
Junior Rachael Cooper (Laurel) set up a team-best 38 assists. Freshman Kylene Hoch (Hubbard) led the squad with four service aces, while sophomore libero Hannah Parker paced the Westminster defense with a team-high 24 digs. Hinks and Hogue each added four blocks in the win. W & amp;J is 19-6, 6-3 PAC.
Hiram 3, Oberlin 0 -- Hiram is assured of being NCAC co-champs. Junior Liz Moore led the Terriers (26-3, 7-0 NCAC) in kills with ten, followed by classmate Jennifer Hlebovy (Boardman) with nine. Megan Taylor (Lakeview) recorded 47 assists. Hlebovy led Hiram in digs with 15. Seniors Shana Toth and Beth Groselle were recognized on senior night.
Grove City 3, Thiel 0 -- Junior Carlie Roberts had a team-high 15 kills while sophomores Brittany Anderson and Katie Skinner aach added seven kills for Grove City (15-13, 5-5 in the PAC). Sophomore setter Kim Walsh recorded 38 assists and a pair of service aces. Sophomore Heather Fraiz served five aces. Junior Emily Rossol had 12 digs while Fraiz added 11 digs. Sophomore Jennifer Plyler had 10 digs. Thiel (8-16, 0-9) was led by sophomore outside hitter Molly Klink (East Liverpoo), who finished with nine kills and 14 digs.
Notre Dame 3, Geneva 2 --Stephanie Harwood had 20 kills and 16 digs while Carly Fyfe had 17 kills. Also for Geneva (7-4, 9-17 AMC-North), Allison Seldomridge had 44 digs and Caryn Azure had 59 assists and 22 digs.
