Best Bests on TV Tonight



Alfred Hitchcock Week (8 p.m., TCM): Seven nights devoted to the director will include 36 of his films. Tonight's theme is "Obsession and Repression," as evidenced in "Vertigo" (at 9 p.m.) and "Psycho" (at 11:30 p.m.). First up is a 1973 documentary about Hitchcock that was written by noted film critic Richard Schickel.
"Human Trafficking" (9 p.m., Lifetime): This new miniseries is a drama about efforts to stop "the international trafficking of women and children for sex." Mira Sorvino, Donald Sutherland and Robert Carlyle star. It concludes at the same time tomorrow.
"Roush Racing Driver X" (8 p.m., Discovery): This new reality series promises to give fans a gripping, behind-the-scenes look at what goes into the making of a NASCAR superstar. Twenty-three contestants, including two women, will go head-to-head in a series of competitions on and off the track. The prize? A fully sponsored ride on the Jack Roush racing team.
