Red Dress Event seeks to make women aware of heart health

VIENNA -- Women's heart health will be the focus of the Red Dress Event from 1 to 4 p.m. Nov. 6 at Squaw Creek Country Club, 761 Youngstown-Kingsville Road S.E.
The event will be sponsored by Humility of Mary Health Partners to raise awareness of the danger of heart disease for women. Statistics show heart disease is the No. 1 killer of women in the United States. The red dress is the national symbol for women's heart disease awareness.
The Red Dress Event will feature a presentation by Dr. Suad Ismail, a Butler, Pa., cardiologist. In "It's a Matter of Heart," Dr. Ismail will focus on heart disease and stroke among women.
Business owner Gloria Socciarelli will share her experience as a heart-attack survivor, and a fashion show and makeup demonstration will be presented.
