Foundation to host inaugural banquet



BROOKFIELD -- The Mercer County Human Services Council Foundation is hosting its inaugural banquet at 6 p.m. Thursday at Tiffany Manor, state Route 82.
Featured at the event will be Alice Coles of Bayview, Va., community leader and civil-rights activist, and Leroy Hyter of Detroit, jazz pianist and saxophonist.
Michael Wright, executive director of Community Food Warehouse of the Shenango Valley, will the master of ceremonies.
The foundation is dedicated to supporting programs in Mercer County through grants and other means.
