Bonfire tonight
COLUMBIANA -- Zion Hill Church of the Brethren, 14550 New Buffalo Road, will kick off its fall revival with a bonfire/hotdog roast at 7 p.m. today.
Bruce Jacobsen, pastor of Mount Pleasant Church of the Brethren, North Canton, will be the speaker. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. Sunday and 7 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
The Rev. Mr. Jacobsen, who was a member of Zion Hill for 20 years, serves as a district board member and district senior high youth cabinet pastoral adviser.

Croatian Mass set
YOUNGSTOWN -- Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 421 Covington St., will hold a Croatian Mass at 4 p.m. Oct. 29 featuring Tamburitzans Libby Fill and her orchestra. After the service, refreshments and music will follow in the social hall.
Jewish-Christian dialogue
YOUNGSTOWN -- Jewish-Christian Dialogue-South will meet at 2:30 p.m. Nov. 1 and 15 at Phev Tzedek Congregation, 5245 Glenwood Ave. The Gospel of Matthew, chapters five through seven will be discussed. The Sermon on the Mount will be discussed from Jewish and Christian viewpoints.
Speaker scheduled
YOUNGSTOWN -- Joy and Praise Ministry, 2615 Market St., will host a speaker, Darlene Waller or Walter from 4 to 6 p.m. Oct. 29. Her topic will be "Reaping Your Harvest. Praise dancing and poetry are planned. There will be a free-will offering for the building fund.
Testimony night
CANFIELD -- Carol Delflore will be guest speaker during testimony night planned from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Lifecare Ministry Center, Lucille Orr Ministries Inc., 5357 Raccoon Road.
Motorcade for Decency
COITSVILLE -- The third annual Motorcade for Decency will assemble at 3 p.m. today at Victory Christian Center on U.S. Route 422. The motorcade will travel east past Adult Land XXX, then turn around at St. James Parish. An inspirational rally will follow at Barnstone Ministries, New Bedford, Pa. Dan Irwin, Section Editor of the New Castle News, will be the speaker. Patriotic music will be sung by Karen Douds, praise leader for Barnstone Ministries.
The FBI has formed a new team to aid the Justice Department in the battle against obscenity. White ribbons will be available at the motorcade for participants to display on the antenna of their cars. The White Ribbon has become a national symbol of opposition to pornography.
Mitzvah Day of Caring
YOUNGSTOWN -- The North Side Interfaith will sponsor a Mitzvah Day of Caring from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday. Those participating should meet at Congregation Rodef Sholom for lunch from 1 to 1:30 p.m., then join the work force of one of the North Side projects: gardening at Park Vista or Wick Park, painting the bridge on Elm Street, cleanup at the corner of Woodbine and Wick or smaller individual projects. The day is sponsored by Rodef Sholom, and Fifth Avenue Community, First Unitarian Universalist, Richard Brown Memorial United Methodist, St. Augustine Episcopal and St. Edward churches.
