Award-winning duo to give gospel concert

HUBBARD -- Chestnut Ridge Church of God, 7215 Chestnut Ridge will present the gospel group Jeff and Sheri Easter at 6 p.m. Oct. 30.
The couple traveled and performed as part of the Lewis Family for several years, but in 1988 decided to strike out on their own. They've been nominated for several Dove Awards and won two: Country Album of the Year for "A Work In Progress" in 1998 and Country Recorded Song of the Year in 2002 for "Goin' Away Party." They also received a Grammy nomination, and Sheri Easter has been named the Singing News magazine's Favorite Alto eight times and the Singing News Female Vocalist four times.
