TRENTON, N.J. -- LeBron James had another strong game in Trenton, scoring 30 points to lead the Cleveland Cavaliers past the Philadelphia 76ers 106-102 Thursday night.
James was back at Sovereign Bank Arena for the first time since scoring 50 points there in a high school game.
Zydrunas Ilgauskas had 21 points and a game-high 13 rebounds, and Damon Jones added 14 points for Cleveland (4-2). Ilgauskas took advantage of the absence of Philadelphia center Samuel Dalembert and power forward Chris Webber, totaling 17 points and 12 rebounds in the first half.
Allen Iverson scored a game-high 36 points, and Andre Igoudala and John Salmons each had 15 for the 76ers (3-2), who led 56-55 at halftime.
Cleveland started to take control midway through the third quarter, before Iverson picked up the pace again and helped Philadelphia quickly erase a 79-72 deficit. He scored 17 points in the period, pulling the 76ers within 84-83 going into the fourth quarter.
Iverson then drilled a jumper with 11:45 remaining to put them ahead again. Salmons followed with a layup 19 seconds later to push Philadelphia's lead to 87-84.
Cleveland then took over, with reserves Obinna Ekezie and Luke Jackson leading the way. Ekezie scored inside and made a couple free throws, and Jackson later hit a shot clock-beating 30-footer to give the Cavaliers the lead for good at 93-90 with 7:20 left.
The Sixers had a chance to tie in the waning moments, but Iverson's runner kicked off the rim and James rebounded the ball with 9.1 seconds remaining. He was immediately fouled and made two free throws to seal the win.

LOS ANGELES -- Gilbert Arenas scored 24 points, Chucky Atkins and Jared Jeffries each had 18 and Washington scored the first nine points of overtime.
Atkins and Caron Butler, who were traded to Washington by the Los Angeles Lakers in August for Kwame Brown and Laron Profit, won in their return to Staples Center. Butler had three points and fouled out with 1:36 left in the fourth quarter.
Raymond Felton led Charlotte with 12 points and 10 assists, and Emeka Okafor had 13 rebounds and eight points. Okafor and Jeffries fouled out of the opener of the NBA exhibition doubleheader.
The Bobcats, who forced a combined 51 turnovers during their previous two games against Atlanta and Miami, converted 26 Washington turnovers into 26 points. Charlotte center Primoz Brezec, who missed the previous three games because of a bruised right shin, had 10 points and five rebounds in 22 minutes.
