NFL ROUNDUP \ News and notes

49ers: Quarterback Tim Rattay was traded to Tampa Bay as the Buccaneers addressed their shortage at quarterback after Brian Griese injured his knee. The Bucs sent an undisclosed draft choice to the San Francisco 49ers for the six-year veteran, who lost his job in San Francisco after four weeks to top overall draft pick Alex Smith. Also, linebacker Saleem Rasheed could miss the next five weeks after undergoing left knee surgery. Rasheed was expected to start Sunday in place of injured linebacker Jeff Ulbrich, who's out for the season with a biceps injury. But in the opening drills of the 49ers' first practice back from their bye week Monday, Rasheed went down with another problem in his troublesome knee.
Rams: Interim coach Joe Vitt is unsure whether quarterback Marc Bulger will be able to play against New Orleans on Sunday. Bulger sprained his right shoulder in the second quarter of the Rams' 45-28 loss Monday night in Indianapolis. Vitt said Tuesday that MRI results weren't available.
Texans: Linebacker Kailee Wong was placed on injured reserve Tuesday after he tore the patella tendon in his right knee against Seattle. The team signed Frank Chamberlin to take Wong's roster spot. Chamberlin attended training camp with the Texans before being released in September. The linebacker spent last season on injured reserve with Cincinnati. Wong was third on the team in tackles with 45 and had one sack this season.
Chargers: In a swap of third-string quarterbacks, Miami sent A.J. Feeley to San Diego for Cleo Lemon. The Chargers also received a draft pick, believed to be a seventh-rounder. In another move, they traded guard Toniu Fonoti to the Vikings for a conditional pick in 2006.
Vikings: A woman who contends running back Onterrio Smith sexually assaulted her last year has sued the player. The 21-year-old woman is not identified in the lawsuit filed last week, for fear of retaliation, said her attorney. Police reports indicate the woman met Smith through a friend, who was in an adjacent room in the Eden Prairie apartment during the alleged assault. The lawsuit mentions that a second player was involved in the attack, but that player is not identified because he "met his legal obligations," Peterson said.
Seahawks: Police were investigating whether a man found shot to death in a Seattle park was involved in a fight outside a nightclub that left free safety Ken Hamlin with serious head injuries. Terrell Milam died of multiple gunshot wounds, the King County Medical Examiner said. Three hours after the fight early Monday, a jogger found Milam's body near Seward Park, about 5 1/2 miles away. The fight outside Larry's nightclub left Hamlin with a fractured skull, a blood clot in his brain and bruising of the brain tissue. He remained in serious but stable condition Tuesday in intensive care at Harborview Medical Center.
Jets: The team can proceed with an antitrust lawsuit alleging Madison Square Garden's owner tried to sabotage the city's chance to host the Olympics, a judge ruled Tuesday. U.S. District Judge Harold Baer said that questions about Cablevision Systems Corp.'s unsolicited bid to buy the West Side rail yards were substantial enough to be decided at trial. The Jets have "adequately alleged that Cablevision's bid constituted a sham" to stop the team from constructing a sports and convention center on the rail yard site, Baer wrote. The lawsuit does not allege that Cablevision succeeded in blocking the stadium plans with its bid but charges that the attempt alone violated antitrust laws.
