2 juveniles accused of trying to rob man

LIBERTY -- Police said they arrested two Youngstown juveniles accused of trying to rob a Colonial Drive man at gunpoint.
The two wore masks and one had a gun when they confronted the intended victim in his driveway around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, police said.
A police officer was on Colonial Drive just a couple of blocks from the scene and he spotted the two boys as they tried to flee the area on foot, police said.
The pair went south on Oriole Drive and into a wooded area near the Stambaugh Golf Course where, after a brief foot chase, they were apprehended with the assistance of Youngstown police officers.
The gun wasn't recovered, police said.
The ages of the juveniles weren't immediately available. Police said the pair was being held in the Trumbull County Juvenile Justice Center overnight.
