JAIME PIETRAGEORGE METZKA JR.
XYOUNGSTOWN -- The exchange of nuptial vows took place Sept. 24 during a 2 p.m. ceremony at St. Christine Church as Jaime Pietra and George Metzka Jr., both of 7214 Boatwright Lane, New Albany, were united in marriage by the Rev. G. David Weikart.
The couple accepted congratulations during a reception held at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Hall before leaving for Riviera Maya, Mexico. They live at 672 Grove Circle, Gahanna.
James and Nancy Pietra, 1130 Suzylinn Ave., Boardman, are parents of the bride, and the groom's parents are George and Carol Metzka Sr., 474 Garden Valley Drive, Boardman.
Crystal beading embellished the bodice of the bride's white silk strapless ballgown.
Burnt-orange gowns were worn by the honor attendant, Alexis Freeman, and the bridesmaids, Christin Spisak, Christine Ischy, Missy Willmitch, Samantha Pietra, Nicole Ross, Kerri Pruitt and Jenn Dravecky. Flower girl was Julia Brooks.
William Ischy performed the duties of best man, and groomsmen were Jared Freeman, Jake Bratek, Jason Metzka, George Dravecky, Adam Turner, James Steele, and Michael Murphy. Ring bearer was Jacob Ischy.
The bride graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor's degree in exercise science and is a ultrasonographer with Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.
The groom, a financial adviser with John Hancock Financial in Columbus, graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a bachelor's degree in English.
