SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Megan Duffy scored 13 of her 21 points during a decisive 16-4 run early in the second half, pacing Notre Dame. The Irish (5-0) led by as many as 12 in the first half, but the Gaels (2-1) scored the first two baskets of the second half to cut the lead to 36-32. Duffy, who was just 2-of-10 shooting in the first half, hit a 3-pointer early in the second half to get the Irish and herself going. She hit her next four shots as well, including a pair of 3s, to extend Notre Dame's lead to 52-36. The Irish, who were without coach Muffet McGraw because she was sick, led by as many as 21 points.
No. 6 Rutgers 73, Bethune-Cookman 48
PISCATAWAY, N.J. -- Michelle Campbell scored 18 points and Cappie Pondexter added 16 to help Rutgers. Rutgers (3-0) shot 70 percent (14-of-20) from the field in the first half to take a 35-26 lead. Bethune-Cookman (1-1) stayed close as Keturah Newkirk hit four of the Lady Wildcats' five 3-point field goals in the half. Newkirk had 15 points and Katie Clark 12 to lead Bethune-Cookman.

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. -- Erlana Larkins scored 13 points in 23 minutes and Ivory Latta had 11 points and nine assists to help North Carolina. North Carolina (5-0) led 42-25 at halftime and closed the game with a 24-7 run over the final 12 minutes. Wudi Alford led the Bulldogs (4-1) with nine points off the bench.

PRINCESS ANNE, Md. -- Candice Dupree scored 17 points to help Temple improve to 6-0. Lady Comfort and Khadija Bowens each grabbed eight rebounds for Temple. Kristi Veltkamp had 17 points and nine rebounds for Maryland-Eastern Shore (1-2).

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- Katie Gearlds scored 17 points and Lindsay Wisdom-Hylton 16 to help Purdue. Erin Lawless had 15 points, Sharika Webb added 11 and Natasha Bodganova grabbed 13 rebounds for Purdue (3-1).
