Drahos' 18 points key Bethany win



Geneva won, but Westminster lost its fourth straight game.
WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. -- Bethany College senior Matt Drahos hit two free throws with four seconds remaining to give the Bison men's basketball team a 71-70 victory over Division II Wheeling Jesuit University Tuesday on the first night of the Wendy's Classic at West Liberty State College.
Drahos led Bethany (3-3) with 18 points on 7-11 shooting, seven rebounds and three blocks. Mike Drahos had 15 points, nine boards and four assists and Mezyk finished with nine points and four assists.
Wheeling Jesuit (2-1), which has won 20 or more games in each of the last three seasons, was led by Terrance Bradley, who had 22 second-half points.
Geneva 89, Notre Dame College 84
SOUTH EUCLID -- Bamfield Harmon scored 22 points on 9 of 13 shooting and grabbed seven rebounds as Geneva opened up a 47-38 halftime lead and held off a late Notre Dame rally.
Kyle McDermott added 20 points on 8 of 11 shooting for Geneva, while Justin Nardi had 10. Geneva shot 51 percent from the field for the game and was 25 of 34 (74 percent) from the line.
Jerome Pierce scored 23 points and Kyle Miller added 15 points and seven rebounds for Notre Dame (4-4, 1-1).
Penn State-Behrend 118,Westminster 101
NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. -- Despite a career-high 30 points off the bench by sophomore guard Craig Hannon, Westminster suffered its fourth consecutive loss.
Behrend (1-4) led by one point (66-65) with 13:55 to play before a 13-3 run made it 79-68 with 10:23 to play. Westminster cut the lead to seven points (93-86) with 6:52 left but could get no closer.
David Gahan led Behrend with 32 points and 10 rebounds.
Steve Bielich and Nick DiNatale added 12 points each for the Titans and Mark DeMonaco scored 11.
Women
SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. -- Brandy Terry scored 16 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to lead three players in double figures for West Liberty (3-1) in a 64-52 win over Slippery Rock.
Charity Street and Leighann Fry each added 15 points, while Renee Farina (Salem) had a rebound and a steal.
Amber McFeely scored 14 points to lead Slippery Rock (3-3) and Kristen Bonner added 11. Amanda Nero (Lowellville) had two rebounds.
Notre Dame College 77, Geneva 60
SOUTH EUCLID -- Kristi Wendolowski scored 22 points and Tamika Watkins added 17 for Notre Dame, which outscored Geneva 38-27 in the second half.
Jackie Anthony scored 21 for Geneva, while Jen Rawding added 13. Stevie Goist (Columbiana) had six points and three assists.
